Spring Refresh

Gee Beauty Tinted Primer (lightmediumdark)

This week it's all about spring on the blog! As the weather gets nicer and there's more sunshine, I like to change up some of the skincare products and make up I use daily. Doing a spring refresh helps my skin feel SO good, and gets me super excited for the change in weather!

I wanted to share a few products that make my skin feel super revitalized. For those who have never heard of Goldfaden MD, it's a dermatologist developed (in case you couldn't tell from the MD...haha) all natural, plant-based, pregnancy safe skincare line..and probably one of my most recent favorites for my skin.

1. Goldfaden MD Fleuressence Face Oil
This face oil is a bit pricey for those who don't usually spend a lot on skincare but I honestly think it's worth it. All you need to do is put 2 drops of the oil morning and night mixed in with whatever moisturizer or foundation you use. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have seen my skin improve and glow (which I desperately needed...thank you Goldfaden!). The face oil is made up of 100% pure active botanicals, fruit extracts and natural oil and should help replenish hydration and boost skin tone, color and radiate your skin. Best of all, it isn't greasy. I can't tell you how big of a difference that is. (The last thing I want is to wake up, wash my face and put something greasy on it.)

2. Goldfaden MD Fresh A Peel
The Fresh A Peel is a supercharged lactic and multi-fruit enzyme exfoliating peel. For anyone who has gotten facials, you've probably experienced a peel before. I love to try out different facials..everything from a red carpet facial to a stem cell facial. The consistent feedback that I've always heard from estheticians is that if you had to pick product to use to get great results, use a fruit enzyme peel, and honestly I completely agree. This fresh a peel does wonders for your skin to peel away dead skin cells to really help 'freshen up'. I'd HIGHLY recommend if you don't already have one.

Now onto the make up portion!

1. Gee Beauty Tinted Primer (light, medium, dark)
If your skin is feeling a bit dull (winter and no sun can really do that to you), a tinted primer can really help add some glow. This tinted primer is so lightweight, which is awesome because  now my skin can still breathe. It's also oil free, hypo allergenic and fragrance free, which I also LOVE. It has a satin-matte finish, and is probably the best 'no-make up' make up.

2. Gee Beauty Blush in Afterglow
This blush is smooth, creamy goodness (which is usually not my favorite, since I prefer powder/dry blushes, but I never realized how versatile creamy ones are) you can use not only on your cheeks, but also on your eyelids as eyeshadow or on your lips for some color!

3. Gee Beauty Lipstick in Hello Gorgeous
I love matte lipsticks--wear some lip liner underneath and apply the matte lipstick on your lips. I find that matte lipsticks hold color and wear for me longer than satin or creamy lipsticks. For the colder seasons (fall and winter) I usually wear darker shades of pinkish brown, mauve, or reds, but when we start transitioning into warmer weather starting in spring, I put my dark shades away and swap them out for lighter colors, such as this pink!

You'll probably see me wearing the blush and lipstick often on my Instagram & Snapchat (@samanthanie) so stay tuned!
