Remember the rose lace jacket I wore that had the most amazing orange outlining? If not, you can see the post here! This dress that I'm wearing is also from Saku and has the same orange outline that I love. I'm also kind of obsessed with the lace placements here, especially the high lace neck..oh and did I mention that it also has two pockets? Practical, yet sophisticated...one of my favorite combos ever... :)

Tobi Sweatshirt Dress (see other Casual Dresses and Long Sleeve Dresses; other dress options here and here)
I love a simple dress with not so simple cuts. This slit kind of makes the entire dress no? It's super casual and comfy but the slit gives it so much more edge. I decided to dress it up with a black and white jacket with fringe detailing and some super-cute-but-takes-me-forever-to-put-on lace up heels.
Here are some other jackets you can check out to get a similar look: cute jackets (awesome options here) and heels (obsessed with these options here)!
Enjoy the long weekend all! The weather's supposed to be beautttttiful! Would love to hear what you are all doing for the long weekend! Snap me at @SAMANTHANIE and I'll send a snap back!

Theory Crop Top
Usually what I fill my closets with these days are neutral style or colored outfits, with some occasional prints, and colors. I'm always looking for key pieces you can wear with something super simple that will really put your outfit together and make it something extra special.
That's kind of what this rose lace jacket is to me. I'm obsessed with the beautiful detailing and the orange outline. The subtle print and color mix is unique and I can't wait to wear it with a pair of boyfriend jeans, and an all-white outfit for the summer!
P.S. If you love this jacket, check out some more of Saku's designs on their website here and some more photos on their instagram here!

Skechers Horizons Sandals (Brown and white version here)
Happy almost Friday all! I went to Puerto Rico (Rio Grande to be more specific--you all know if you watched my snaps on snapchat (@SAMANTHANIE)) for a long weekend and pretty much ate, drink and did some serious R&R in the 483 acre sanctuary the St. Regis owns. We kayaked for a bit (probably around 20 minutes), and were total beach bums, which was pretty much exactly what I needed.
I built my vacation wardrobe around a very relaxed cool kind of style. I actually wore this v neck shirt dress with a pair of high waisted denim shorts that you can't really see from these photos, but I wanted something that would keep me comfortable dancing around in the sand. If you're looking for a pair of shorts to go with the dress there are awesome short options here. Other cute dress options here-->(casual dresses, long sleeved dresses, red dresses, skater dresses)
Also, can we take a second to admire my sandals? I've been loving these fun red/beige pairs which is neutral enough for my taste but gives it a little pop of color for the summer. They're comfy and probably what I will be living in this summer (this and another pair that you will see on the blog soon)!
Kind of sad to be back in NY but expect ton of suuperrrr amazing things coming your way!

Happy Friday you guys!! Hope you’ve
all had an amazing week. I’m finally
taking my first vacation of the year (suuuper
long over due, I know), and could not be more excited for some R&R. Can you
guess where I’m going? Follow along on snapchat (@SAMANTHANIE—also send me some
snaps and I’ll send you some back!) and instagram (@SAMANTHANIE) for more
real-time updates!
Anyway, onto today’s outfit post!
Have you guys ever gotten tired
of something really easily? I do. I get tired of things super easily...one
thing in particular that I get tired of really quickly? The contents of my
closet, so I'm always looking for pieces that are more versatile that I can
wear in multiple ways.
This geo-lace sheer panel dress from Banana is one of those! You can
button it up and wear it as a dress (dress it up with some heels, wear it to
work), but I honestly loved it more unbuttoned as a cardigan. It gives it more
of a flare, and helps accentuate the peplum top I'm wearing underneath. Speaking
of peplum, I’m kind of in love with the light blue color and the super thin
white lines. They’re subtle enough as a print that makes it flattering to wear,
and really easy to pair.
Being able to transform your
outfit can really freshen up your ‘old’ closet. So next time you’re feeling
like you have nothing to wear (welcome to my every day morning routine), try
something new! Wear a slip dress as a top, tucked into jeans. Fold down the collars
of your button down shirts and tuck them inside and wear it off the shoulder. Layer
turtlenecks underneath summer dresses. Take a risk..maybe it’ll inspire you to
get creative and wear your old clothes in new ways!

Zara Sweater
Zara Jeans
Schutz Heels
It's been so cold the past week and a half in NY..and it's making me think twice about putting away all of my winter clothing for good. I've been wearing thick sweaters and boots all week still..but one good thing is that I get to wear a much lighter outerwear than the winter--aka trench season.
The one I'm wearing is from Snowman New York, and it has the cutest feminine detailing at the end with a ruffle-like layering. Also instead of the typical collar look that most trenches have, this one has more of a straight style, which I think makes it way more flattering and slimming. I wore it unbuttoned, but if you have it all buttoned up, you won't be able to see the buttons from the outside--another detail that I love about this trench--it gives it a beautiful classic twist on the typical trench look.
I'll be wearing this all spring...over dresses, skirts, shorts, and in the rain (oh did I mention that the fabric is also water repellent?)...not even mad about it.

Stripes and white denim with a twist--the cutest lace up sides that will add a bit of flair to any outfit.
