Recently, I had the pleasure to be able to cruise with Bateaux on one of their Sparkling NYC dinner cruises. Usually as a native to New York, I'm not one to do a cruise since it's usually deemed a pretty touristy thing to do, but I had a pretty great experience.

I brought a few friends along for some food, drinks and good views. We boarded at Chelsea Piers and were welcomed by a beautiful table setting with a menu filled with options for appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks. I ordered the seared tuna for appetizer, jumbo lump crab cake for an entree and salted caramel cake for dessert. All of it was delicious--especially the crab cake and the salted caramel cake--I would definitely recommend getting those two if they're still on the menu if you go.

During the three hour boat ride, we cruised along the Hudson river passing by sights like the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, etc. There were also openings on both sides of the boat where you can go out and take photos and enjoy the view. It was pretty cold out the day we went and there were staff outside passing out hot chocolate, which I thought was a super cute touch.

Overall, I would definitely recommend trying out one of the cruises especially if you're not from New York--it's a cute way to be able to see the New York skyline and enjoy great food and company over a relaxing few hours. Check out Bateaux if you're interested in attending a cruise. Alongside dinner, they also have lunch, brunch and more specialty cruises (ex. holidays, fireworks, etc.), and hey if you don't have New Year's Eve plans, they also have a cruise for that too.. :)

If you have any questions about the experience that I haven't answered, feel free to reach out via comments below or email (! I'd be happy to answer them if I can!
