I love make up. I love that depending on the
products you use and the way you apply it on, it can completely change your look. Usually
make up can get kind of pricey, but lately I’ve tried on a few of Maybelline’s
newest products that I thought were pretty good:
Colossal
Big Shot Express Mascara ($8.49) – I love to keep my make up quite
simple, accentuating the eyes. When it comes to mascara, I like to apply
mascara that will really brings out my eyes, and make my short Asian lashes
look curled, voluminous and bold. I’m pretty impressed with this mascara
especially since it was able to capture all my lashes especially my baby ones
that I get annoyed with if they don’t stay curled. Also this mascara did not smudge or clump. I can’t tell you
how irritated I get when mascara smudges or clumps easy—I’ve thrown away pretty
new mascara if the application process is messy.
24k
Nudes Palette ($11.99) – A mix of 12 mostly shimmery, some matte neutrals.
It comes with a two sided sponge brush, one side bigger and rounder than the
other which is nice for being able to use different sides to apply the shadows
to the lid vs the brow, etc. I’m a big fan of the lighter shades of shimmery
eyeshadows (pearl, pink, gold) for sweeping a layer over the lids or a bit
under the brows for highlighting. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the darker
colors. They weren’t as pigmented as I would’ve liked.
Master
Precise Liquid Ink Pen Eye Liner ($7.99) – I’m usually not as big of a fan
of liquid ink pen types of eye liners, but did like how thin the brush was. It
allowed me to have more control over drawing the lines. The liquid was
pigmented and also lasted a long time.
